Spring Blossoms

springEmbrace the mountain as you embrace each other. The Manzano Mountains are beautiful this time of year. With the apple trees in bloom you are sure to have pictures to remember. Windswept and lovely, the spring is a romantic time at Manzano Mountain Retreat. Your love is entering a new stage of growth, and so are the mountains here. Mid March thru late May

Vintage Bloom

If hydrangeas, pastel roses, mint and that vintage feel are to your tastes, MMR can turn your vintage wedding into a sweet dream full of pastels and delicate touches. Please see our Pinterest page for inspiration.

Country Blooms

countryIt’s unique mountain location gives MMR the perfect position to be the your country wedding destination. We even have antique farming equipment and a rustic red wagon around the property for that perfect picture. If mason jars, sunflowers, chalkboards and some great outside fun are anywhere on your list, look no farther.  You will arrive on Friday and your wedding party has free use of the grounds. Have a blast on our trails and we will even organize a property-wide scavenger hunt. Have the wedding under our Pergola at the Pond or in our grass field surrounded by the smiling faces of your family and friends.

Under the Pines

For those seeking a quiet retreat among the shade of the pines, we can set up a wedding to remember under 100 year old trees and the soft smell of leaves. Great for very large groups or for groups of any size, you can have the wedding in the midst of nature.

Love on the Water

We have a small pond nestled near the mountains, perfect for a wedding up to 200 people. The trees create a natural isle that facilitates the bride’s big moment. Just a few steps away from our luxurious Pond House, you and your future spouse stand center on our lovely pergola in front of the water with your minister while your wedding party sits in front of you. This is a great location for weddings at any time of the day and at any time of the year.

A Lasting Love

quaraiJust 7 miles from MMR is Quarai Ruins, part of the Salinas National Monument. Located in the midst of a former pueblo and mission, these are remnants of an old cathedral that have stood the test of time. The Mission was first built in the 1600s, and the descendants of the people that once lived there can be traced to the Sandia Pueblo.  This cathedral can fit up to 200 guests, yet is still the perfect place for a small intimate ceremony. We suggest that due to parking restrictions, the wedding couple rent passenger vans for transportation for weddings with a large number of guests. We can also refer you to a transportation coordinator who can drive your guests for you.

Field of Dreams

Be it on chairs of bales of hay, our open field is the perfect place to have your open space wedding. Browse our Pinterest page for more ideas on how we can make your day special. Have your wedding in our open field with the Manzano Mountains as your backdrop, and then break loose at our pavilion- lit up with lights and fabric to match your theme and colors.

Reception Options:

After your ceremony it’s time for the food and party! Here are some examples of where you can celebrate at Manzano Mountain Retreat.

Dining Hall

Rustic wood and long, family style tables set the scene for a fun wedding reception. The dining hall is the ideal place for a winter wedding- it’s charm is easily accented by pine boughs and gentle lights. Easily sits 100 people.

Pavilion

pavilion Picnic area by day, an elegant outdoor shelter at night. The pavilion is our most versatile space; it is a blank canvas that can be decorated to suit your needs. The Pavilion provides an outdoor reception experience with the reassurance of a roof over your head incase of inclement weather. Great for those summer nights and early fall evenings. Tables are often set up in a U-shape with dancing in the middle, or as a cocktail reception.

Gymnasium

Are you planning on having a lot of people at your wedding? While MMR sleeps 200, the gymnasium can seat many more than that. This space is large and conducive to dancing the night away with your DJ.

Trigo Room

Looking for that small reception with hordourves and drinks? The Trigo room has its own fireplace, sound system, large screen and leather furniture. It’s the best option for a cozy, intimate affair with a minimum number of guests.
